Annotate PDF with Text

Add a new text note to a selected PDF page.

    How this tool works

    Annotate PDF with Text: a practical guide

    Draws the text at the page number and coordinates you enter. Coordinates use PDF points, measured from the top and left of an unrotated page. Long notes wrap within the remaining page width.

    Steps to use this tool

    1. Select a PDF and type the annotation.
    2. Set its page, position and font size.
    3. Add the note and inspect the target page.

    Tested example — 19 October 2026

    The test adds Added note only to the selected second page.

    Selected sample: sample.pdf (2421 bytes, 2 pages).

    Measured output: sample-edited.pdf — 6705 bytes; 2 PDF pages.

    Sample settings:

    {
      "text": "Added note",
      "page": 2,
      "x": 0,
      "y": 0,
      "fontSize": 12
    }
    The test adds Added note only to the selected second page.
    Page 2 rendered from the actual automated sample PDF output; this is not a browser screenshot.

    Test environment: Node + native canvas + actual site-ui.js form integration in LinkeDOM Representative sample; inspect your own output.

    Check the result

    Read the note on the target page and check that nearby source text remains readable. Compare another page to confirm the note was not added throughout the document.

    Files and privacy

    The public tool processes selected documents in your browser. It does not send document bytes to a conversion server. The page and its bundled libraries still download from this website. Keep the original, use an up-to-date browser and inspect your output before sharing it. See the privacy policy for hosting and support information.

    If processing fails

    A page outside the source or unsupported glyph is rejected. Adjust the note's page, coordinates or characters and generate another copy from the original.
