How this tool works

Add Text to PDF: a practical guide

Draws the text at the page number and coordinates you enter. Coordinates use PDF points, measured from the top and left of an unrotated page. Long notes wrap within the remaining page width.

Steps to use this tool

Select a PDF and enter the note.
Set its page, position and font size.
Choose Add Text to PDF and inspect the note location.

Tested example — 19 October 2026

The test adds Added note to page 2 and verifies it does not appear on page 1.

Selected sample: sample.pdf (2421 bytes, 2 pages).

Measured output: sample-edited.pdf — 6705 bytes; 2 PDF pages.

Check the result

Open the chosen page and read the added note at normal zoom. Check that existing text remains visible because this operation overlays new text rather than rewriting old content.

Files and privacy

The public tool processes selected documents in your browser. It does not send document bytes to a conversion server. The page and its bundled libraries still download from this website. Keep the original, use an up-to-date browser and inspect your output before sharing it. See the privacy policy for hosting and support information.

If processing fails

An unsupported character produces a visible font error. Latin and Hindi fonts are bundled; move a misplaced note by adjusting its coordinates and processing the original again.
