How this tool works
Sign PDF: a practical guide
Adds the name you type at a chosen page and position. The signature remains visible in the downloaded PDF and is created locally.
Steps to use this tool
- Select the PDF and enter the signature name.
- Choose the page, coordinates and font size.
- Create the signed copy and inspect the visible mark.
Tested example — 19 October 2026
The sample adds Asha Sharma and verifies that no Digitally verified claim is inserted.
Selected sample: sample.pdf (2421 bytes, 2 pages).
Measured output: sample-signed.pdf — 6865 bytes; 2 PDF pages.
Sample settings:
{
"name": "Asha Sharma",
"page": 1
}
Test environment: Node + native canvas + actual site-ui.js form integration in LinkeDOM Representative sample; inspect your own output.
Check the result
Check the spelling and placement beside the intended signature line. Verify that the mark does not cover dates, terms or another signer's details.
Files and privacy
The public tool processes selected documents in your browser. It does not send document bytes to a conversion server. The page and its bundled libraries still download from this website. Keep the original, use an up-to-date browser and inspect your output before sharing it. See the privacy policy for hosting and support information.
If processing fails
A page number outside the document is rejected. If you need cryptographic identity verification, use a certificate-signing workflow rather than treating this typed name as authenticated.
