How this tool works
PDF to Word: a practical guide
Reads the PDF text layer page by page and writes paragraphs into an Office Open XML Word document. Page breaks are retained between source pages.
Steps to use this tool
- Select a text-based PDF.
- Choose PDF to Word to extract its text.
- Open the DOCX and review its reflowed paragraphs.
Tested example — 19 October 2026
The sample DOCX is a genuine Office package whose document.xml contains the source phrase SECRET1234.
Selected sample: sample.pdf (2421 bytes, 2 pages).
Measured output: sample.docx — 8567 bytes.
Test environment: Node + native canvas + actual site-ui.js form integration in LinkeDOM Representative sample; inspect your own output.
Check the result
Open the DOCX in a word processor and locate a distinctive phrase from the source. Review paragraph breaks and rebuild any columns or tables that are important to the document.
Files and privacy
The public tool processes selected documents in your browser. It does not send document bytes to a conversion server. The page and its bundled libraries still download from this website. Keep the original, use an up-to-date browser and inspect your output before sharing it. See the privacy policy for hosting and support information.
If processing fails
A No selectable text message means the document needs recognition rather than a different filename extension. If text is garbled, inspect the PDF's font encoding and compare a small page with manual copying.
